A snakes and apples board game, based on the traditional game of snakes and ladders, created for the National Trust and the Cider Museum as a prop for the exhibition 'An Apple Gathering' at Croft Castle in Herefordshire between 29th July - 5th November 2023. The piece appears in the castle saloon full of apple-based games and as a large scale garden game - all part of 'The Apple Art Hunt'. Visitors are encouraged to get involved by seeking out paintings, sculptures, glassworks and music all inspired by the apple in surprising places around the castle, church, grounds and gardens.
'The Apple Gathering' is part of the Apples and People programme, a partnership between the Brightspace Foundation, the Museum of Cider Hereford and the National Trust in Herefordshire. The piece was inspired by elements from the Apple World Map, also commissioned by Apples and People.
