I was commissioned to illustrate the May/June cover and contents for Cricket Magazine for children. The theme was 'hummingbirds' and I used traditional Mexican embroidery as inspiration for the flowers which act as a backdrop to the white throated hummingbirds, commonly found in the Soth Americas.
The artwork is handpainted in gouache, watercolour and acrylic paints alongside collaged patterned papers.
