Self-promotional hand lettering project. I used the prototype for the Almanac 2021 cover as a backdrop as I liked the design so much and thought it would be a shame if it was never seen. Gypsy Petulengro was a well known horse trader/violinist/broadcaster and writer active in the 1930s. This book was published in 1935 and includes herbal remedies for feet, eyes, skin and gout etc. not to mention Romany beauty ointments.
