A black and white endpaper map for the beloved children’s novel ‘The Secret Hen House Theatre’ by Helen Peters. The book, originally published in 2012 and shortlisted for the Waterstones prize, is now republished in 2024 by Nosy Crow with a brand new cover and map.
Clayhill farm was based on Helen’s childhood home and I used multiple original photographs as reference to create the illustration.
