Ribbon maps were traditionally used on the first road maps in England in the 17th century showing postal routes across the country. Created on long strips, they had a shifting compass rose to indicate direction. I created my own in watercolour in a concertina book approximately 13 x 19.5cms to celebrate Halloween.
