Playing cards commissioned as props for the fantasy series 'His Dark Materials' for BBC/HBO. In Phillip Pullman's classic novels, every character has their own daemon - a kind of animal familiar, so each of the 'face cards', the King, Queen and Jack also have daemons.
The first series was aired in the UK in late 2019.
