Not strictly a map, this was a commission for an illustrated nature interpretation board for Park Wood in mid Sussex for the South Downs Environment Agency. The sign shows four scenes of the kind of flora and fauna found in the wood at different times of the day and season plus areas of special interest such as the ghyll streams and ponds. Of course, I love anything to do with nature so the border around the edge was a great excuse to feature more flora and fauna; the best way to include such a long and diverse list of fascinating plants and creatures....
87 x 52 cms and created in watercolour with digital colour in some areas.
The final board was adapted for the signage.
